Account Director
Our Account Directors have overall ownership of and responsibility for meeting the revenue and client satisfaction KPIs for our key client accounts, ensuring that we build and maintain relationships and are driving results/delivering value.
Although this is a commercially focussed role expect a little bit of everything - you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic account plans and ensuring we hit account targets. You will act as a business partner for our clients helping drive their roadmap by ensuring that you understand their business and marketplace and share that knowledge internally. Within CTI you will be the champion of our client’s perspective and able to connect them with our relevant subject matter experts. When things don’t go exactly to plan you will need to show good problem solving skills and be able to confidently challenge thinking. Your communication skills and your drive mean that you will be a catalyst for getting things done in a way that benefits both CTI and our clients.
Maintaining and growing our existing client base in line with our existing business revenue KPI is a key success driver for CTI and our AD’s are essential in delivering this. We’re looking for proactive people who are happy working independently but also keen to get involved and actively contribute in team activities/initiatives. As senior members of the Client Services team our AD’s also have line management/mentoring responsibilities.
What will I be responsible for?
Ownership of client target and implementation of strategic account plan to deliver target for CTI and value for the client.
Ownership of commercial contracts and proposals for assigned accounts, understanding the content, checking the quality and articulating the client value thereof.
Safeguarding (and monitoring) overall client satisfaction. Taking proactive action to remedy any issues affecting satisfaction.
Championing the voice of the client within CTI to ensure we deliver in line with client expectations/objectives.
Balancing client expectations with CTI objectives and making commercially conscious decisions.
Acting as a CTI/client interface connecting the relevant SMEs from CTI with the client.
Ensuring CTI has relationships at all levels of our client business. Stakeholder mapping.
Fostering internal comms between CTI teams focussed on the account and driving the necessary meetings to ensure a good understanding of in-flight work and account ownership.
Acting as both an internal & external escalation point.
Developing an appropriate cadence of meetings with our clients outside of project update calls.
Spending face to face time with clients/working onsite at client offices or inviting them to work at CTI offices.
Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of our clients’ business, objectives, strategy and marketplace.
Understanding clients’ budgets & budgeting cycle and fostering a partnership approach.
Proactively researching market/competitor trends and disseminating this knowledge internally at CTI to help foster value driven thinking and idea generation.
Leading and scheduling strategically focussed QBR which demonstrate the value CTI can add to our clients’ business and act as a forum to showcase the proactive thinking and formulate a roadmap for future work.
Ensuring clients are introduced to CTI’s full service offering in a way which is tailored and relevant.
Line management/mentoring of more junior team members where relevant
What skills and experience do I need to have?
Account planning and forecasting skills
Initiative to spot business opportunities based on a knowledge of the client and sector
Broad knowledge of digital marketing and website development trends
Friendly, outgoing with the ability to build trusted client working relationships
Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
Confident communicator (spoken, on e-mails, in presentations etc)
Detailed approach to opportunity tracking and CRM updates
Highly organised, calm and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be flexible by adapting quickly to changing priorities
Comfortable with coordinating and collaborating with business teams to drive required decisions and outcomes
Proactive approach to getting things done
Experience with the Atlassian suite and Hubspot or similar applications
Location: Our head office is in Manchester city centre (Ancoats) - we adopt a hybrid working model (2 days in the office per week)
Salary: Dependent on Experience
