We are looking for a Senior Umbraco Developer to join our team and assist in the development, deployment and maintenance of CMS platforms utilising Umbraco.
We're looking for a developer with a deep understanding of .NET frameworks, primarily utilising C#, that will be crucial in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale applications for a digital agency that focuses on robust web solutions.If you're looking for a role with seniority where you can work independently, lead projects, mentor junior developers, and manage complex technical challenges effectively then please apply below!
What will my responsibilities be?
Project Implementation Lead: Spearhead the development phases of projects, ensuring technical specifications and client deliverables are met.
Technical Coaching: Mentor junior developers, providing them with guidance on best practices and development techniques.
Build Strategy Formulation: Devise strategies for the efficient building of robust web applications that align with client objectives working with the tech leads and architects.
Client Liaison: Engage with clients to clarify build requirements, adjust project deliverables, and solicit feedback.
Requirements Gathering and Implementation: Translate client requirements into actionable development plans.
Code Quality Management: Oversee code quality through thorough reviews and adherence to industry best practices.
Documentation: Generate comprehensive documentation related to build processes, code usage, and feature integration.
Collaborative Development: Work alongside designers, developers, and project managers to ensure cohesive and timely project completion.
Proactive Problem Solving: Tackle technical challenges as they arise, focusing on solutions that enhance build quality and functionality.
What skills and experience do I need to have?
.NET Frameworks and .NET Core: Extensive experience in backend development using these platforms.
C# : Advanced skill level in C# for crafting customised functionalities and system integrations.
Umbraco CMS: Deep familiarity with Umbraco’s capabilities including extending its back office, managing content effectively, and enhancing security.
Feature Implementation: Construct and integrate customised features within the Umbraco platform to fulfil client needs.
API Development and Integration: Build APIs for external and internal use to expand the functionalities of websites.
Performance Tuning: Optimise application performance focusing on speed and efficiency.
Security Implementation: Apply advanced security measures to safeguard user data and meet compliance standards.
System Upgrades: Manage the upgrading process of Umbraco systems to newer versions, ensuring minimal disruption.
Issue Resolution: Independently identify and resolve technical problems within the development environment.
Frontend Technologies: Competence in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, along with frameworks like React or Angular for creating responsive user interfaces. (nice to have)
Database Management: Expertise in SQL Server or other relational database systems focusing on schema design and data management.
Version Control Systems: Proficient use of tools like Git for maintaining code integrity.
APIs: Ability to develop robust APIs for enhancing website functionality and connectivity.
Testing and Deployment: Skills in implementing CI/CD pipelines and using testing frameworks to ensure application reliability.
Setup pipelines for automated deployments on Azure Devops
Familiarity with AWS and Azure services.
Location: Our head office is Manchester city centre (Ancoats) - we adopt a hybrid working model (2 days in the office per week)
