Based in the heart of Manchester, CTI is now one of the largest digital transformation agencies outside of London with 220 Digital professionals working for us. Our Senior Account Managers are responsible for the management of a portfolio of clients and the ongoing generation of revenue from these clients. They need to work proactively and closely with our clients so that they can understand the challenges they are facing and drive opportunities for growth within these accounts.
What will my day look like?
The Senior Account Manager is given a portfolio of key clients to work with and is responsible for the strategic direction of the client account with the key objectives of;
long term retention
upselling/cross-selling of our services
an increase in revenue year on year (working to a specific target for each client)
Improving our client satisfaction scores
Reporting to the Strategic Business Lead they are responsible for providing the business with accurate information about the revenue forecast for that client, the scope of opportunity within each client and the health of our client relationships.
Overall ownership of client relationship and the client account plan
Understanding our client’s organisations - their objectives, target audiences, positioning, competitors, key challenges and problems we can help them solve
Establishing key opportunities for us to develop our work with our clients
Identification of client contacts. From day to day to senior level contacts within the business
Relationship building with all contacts within a client organisation.
Meeting with clients on-site and/or hosting clients in our Manchester office regularly
Production of regular reviews for retained clients with an emphasis on ideas and new initiatives to benefit the client and introducing the client to a range of services we can provide
Responsible for the management of the pipeline of opportunities within the client portfolio
Ensuring financial targets are tracked and achieved in terms of revenue generated per client
Production of proposals and presentation documentation to assist in the selling of CTI services
Ensure that client contracts are up-to-date and renewed before expiration
Ensure that all engagements have signed work orders in place
Understand and document client budgeting periods to ensure that the right levels are put forward to cover ongoing support and new development projects
Managing our client records with our CRM and ensuring key opportunities, contacts and other details are up to date
Act as a point of escalation when clients do not pay on time
Work closely with project management and production teams on the delivery of client projects. Identifying issues as early as possible and, where necessary, escalating to Strategic Business Lead to minimise commercial risk
Working with Account Executives and Account Managers to delegate work as needed
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a similar role with an agency - preferable
Friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills
The ability to build trusted client relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
Initiative to spot business opportunities based on a knowledge of the client and sector
Interpretation skills to understand client needs and respond appropriately
Ability to identify clear goals and action plans to achieve them
Planning and forecasting skills
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Problem-solving
Highly organised, calm and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Manage tasks and time well
Afford a high attention to detail
Ability to be flexible by adapting quickly to changing priorities, new approaches and methods
Comfortable with coordinating and collaborating with business teams to drive required decisions and outcomes
Broad knowledge of digital marketing and website development
Strong marketing knowledge
Strong analytical and business analysis skills
Location: Our head office is in Manchester city centre (Ancoats) - we adopt a hybrid working model (2 days in the office per week)
