The Lead Developer is a senior-level position within our team specialising in the design and build of large-scale applications. This role focuses on leading the development and implementation of web solutions using the Umbraco CMS primarily but it's certainly not limited to this single platform as the solutions we have to provide are both challenging and of an enterprise level. They can range from the simple to the ambitious!
The individual is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects in a collaborative approach with the delivery team and also guiding a team of developers, communicating with qa to understand and remove bugs found during testing and ensuring that the solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet client requirements.

What will my responsibilities be?
Ensuring technical solutions align with client needs and project objectives.
Maintaining high standards of code quality and system security.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes, including coding standards, system architecture, and development methodologies.
Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback to team members.
Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly those related to Umbraco and .NET frameworks.
What skills and experience do I need?
Umbraco CMS: Advanced knowledge of Umbraco back-office customization, API integrations, and version upgrades.
Advanced proficiency with .NET Framework and .NET Core: Specifically targeting C# within the .NET ecosystem.
C# Programming: Expert level in C# for building robust backend systems.
Advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL and/or cloud based high availability solutions
Version Control: Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
DevOps and CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment pipelines on AWS and/or Azure
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and knowledge of the most utilised frontend frameworks such as ReactJs.
Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
Location: Our head office is Manchester city centre (Ancoats) - we adopt a hybrid working model (2 days in the office per week)
