The team
The QA team at CTI Digital is the gatekeeper of quality, ensuring our products and solutions meet the highest standards before they reach our clients. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, they rigorously test, troubleshoot, and refine to deliver seamless, reliable results. Working closely with developers, designers, and project managers, the team helps maintain efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance user experience. What you’ll be doing
As a Lead QA Engineer at CTI Digital, you’ll take a strategic and hands-on approach to ensuring the quality of our digital solutions. You’ll lead our QA function, driving best practices, mentoring the team, and introducing automation to enhance efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:
🛠 Leading & Developing the QA Team – Manage, mentor, and support QA engineers, conducting regular 1-1s to foster growth and development.
🚀 Driving QA Strategy & Best Practices – Define and implement quality assurance processes, ensuring a consistent, scalable approach across projects.
🤖 Introducing & Expanding Test Automation – Identify opportunities for automation, select the right tools, and embed automated testing into our workflows.
🔍 Overseeing Testing & Quality Assurance – Ensure rigorous testing across platforms like Magento, Drupal, and Umbraco, maintaining the highest quality standards.
🐞 Managing Defect Resolution & Reporting – Oversee bug tracking and resolution in Jira, working closely with development teams to improve efficiency.
📢 Stakeholder Collaboration – Engage with project managers, developers, and clients to align QA efforts with business objectives.
📈 Continuous Improvement & Innovation – Stay ahead of industry trends, refining our approach to testing, automation, and quality management.
What you need to be successful
To thrive as a Lead QA Engineer at CTI Digital, you’ll need a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. Key skills and experience include:
✅ Proven Leadership in QA – Experience managing and mentoring QA teams, conducting 1-1s, and fostering a culture of quality.
🤖 Test Automation Expertise – Hands-on experience with automation tools, frameworks, and strategies for improving efficiency.
📆 Strategic Thinking & Process Optimisation – Ability to define QA roadmaps, implement best practices, and continuously improve testing processes.
💬 Excellent Communication & Collaboration – Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring QA aligns with development and business goals.
🛠 Technical & Tool Proficiency – Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, and CMS platforms like Magento, Drupal, and Umbraco.
🚀 Adaptability & Problem-Solving – Comfortable navigating complex challenges, identifying risks, and delivering solutions in a fast-paced environment.

💻1st Stage - Video call with a senior member of the Engineering team. A chance to explore the role and responsibilities.
📆2nd Stage - A face to face interview with a member of the Engineering team and our CTO. We don’t do technical tasks but will ask technical questions and probe around your experience as a tester.
